WOW!! I love combination mineral specimens. I also happen to have a soft spot for BOTH feldspar and topaz specimens. This one is all the cooler because it is from Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho. That location has always inspired me, and made me yearn for adventure. I hope to be able to go for myself one day.
This 1 inch thumbnail specimen is a very well formed feldspar crystal, with sharp faces. It hosts up to a couple dozen topaz crystals on two distinct edge faces.
This piece sits very neatly, displaying 360 degrees around. It's only damage is the side it was broken off at, which is the bottom, if it is sitting on display.
This is the kind of unique piece that really ties up a locality collection. Add this to your USA mineral collection, or maybe even your Sawtooth mineral collection?
