Comments:

This fantastic centerpiece sapphire is a deep, rich midnight blue mixed with a very pleasing deep green-teal color. There is plenty of each to mesmerize your gaze!

The gem is a custom octagon designed and faceted in New Zealand by Oliver Waldis - He also found the gem in Queensland, Mainland Australia.  That means that this big, showy sapphire is FAIR TRADE / ETHICAL!

Normally with a very dark blue in a sapphire, it exhibits a personality you could only call 'dark'.  Many deep blue sapphires can hardly manage to get anything past the back tones of the stone.  HOWEVER, this particular gem has the robust energy to propel an array of amazing colors, and brightness past it's deep color tones.  It SINGS!

Even this great performer will go black in very low light, but it will show off quite well under most other lighting conditions.  It'll look its absolute best on a BRIGHT overcast day, where it's cloudy, but the sun is alllllmost making it through.  Other situations that diffuse bright lighting will also make this gemstone look absolutely amazing, for example, in a greenhouse on a sunny day, or in the woods on a hike on a sunny day etc etc...
