Comments:
Crystals are always harder to set securely than traditional gems, but sometimes it's worth it. This crystal fit the bill perfectly. The crystal is set securely with 9 prongs. The back of the pendant is solid sterling silver on two sides, meeting at a right angle. There are a couple of embellishments of roundwire on the back for aesthetics, and the loop for the bail is slightly oversize for the same reason.
I wanted to keep the colors in the 'minty' family, and I am glad for it. I love greens and blues together. Both accent gems are bezel set for durability.
The crystal itself is mesmerizing. It's termination looks exactly like a sharpened hexagonal pencil, and it has geometric squarish roundish etching markings all over it. I always like to think of the markings as somehow 'digital'. The color is a nice, medium blue, and the clarity is flawless; absolutely clean.
The pendant does not come with the neoprene cord that is in some of the photos. That is for display purposes only.
