Montana Sapphires are ALWAYS a good gem to have on hand as a jeweler. People love sapphires, and people love USA mined, which is understandable, because they are fair mined, and natural, as well as interesting colors! What is not to like??
This stout oval is bright, and well cut. It's unheated, and untreated too! The color is quite interesting. It's super light in color, but does shift back and forth between a number of different tonal personalities. It has a blue tone, purple tone, green tone, and a near colorless shade. It's mostly hanging out in the blue or green shade, but does appear close to colorless a lot too. Purple tone will appear under special lighting conditions.
