Comments:
This gem is a gorgeous medium shade of blurple. The deepest part of the gem, down in the culet is where the blue color influences the rest of the gem, which is a lighter periwinkle purple color. The edges, though faint, also seem to have some greenish tinge at the brightest edges near the girdle. It's quite a wintery / minty piece. The photographs don't quite capture how juicy that depth of color feels in person.
The cut is a simple 'disco ball' overseas type cut, but it performs admirably here. You catch brilliance from every angle, and in the center, you get a brilliant pattern in the center of that deep color.
This affordable gem punches above its weight class. It would look great in a custom full of other color shifty gems. It can be used to tie together both blue and purple elements.
There are some sparse salt-and-pepper inclusions, but pretty low key, and hard to see.
