Here is a fun set of gemstones: Rose cut sapphires from Songea! One of these gems is pinkish, one purplish, a third is green, and the last one is a bit of a bicolor blue and pink together. That one has a good cotton candy vibe. All the colors are open and pastel/slightly earthy.
These gems are great little pops of energy for a quick solitaire ring, or can be used as an accent gem in just about anything. These get pretty good play of color and reflections of brightness, considering they're rose cuts. The bottoms being polished helps in this I think.
