This is one of the most sought after colors in tourmaline. Heck in gemstones writ large! This pair of rough is a most curious shape, and to me, seem already pre-formed to be carved into little ginko leaves -- but that's just what my brain sees.
This pair is from the same piece of original rough. I went to separate a fracture in the middle of it, and it came apart cleanly, into two virtually identical pieces, ideally suited to be made into a matching pair of fantasy cut gems, or matching tablets.
The color, unlike a LOT of blue and teal tourmaline, is open on the C axis. This means that it will be catching light, and reflecting bright blue, in all directions. No dark spots to worry about.
