Maw Sit Sit is not technically Jade, though it is composed of a significant portion of chrome-rich (green) jadeite! It is a bit of a mixture of minerals, including kosmochlor, chromian jadeite, feldspar, and a few other trace rare minerals. It's also found right in the jade mining area of Myanmar.
This is a very good quality piece with lots of color and texture present! I have sliced, and drilled this piece, so it is flat on both sides, and ready to be carved, or cabbed into a wearable pendant! There is PLENTY of thickness, and there are no obvious fractures at all.
