Comments:
Maw Sit Sit is actually a collection of minerals mixed together! The intensely green color, and dark, blackish green colors present in the stone are kosmochlor and chrome jadeite, and the white specks are feldspar.
This material is exceedingly rare, coming from just one village in the jade mining area of Myanmar.
This jade-adjascent material is coveted for its hardness, durability, great polish, and the final look is just amazing. It is vivid, and textural. Top to bottom, it's one of the most impressive cabbing materials out there, in my opinion. It is a mixed-species stone, so there is a little variation, but in general this stone is considered to have a hardness of about 6, which is plenty hard for ring or bracelet jewelry. This stuff can take a knock or two!
