Comments:
The most desireable color in tourmaline. At least as far as I'm concerned. Everyone seems to want a peacock / mermaid shade of blue-green. Normally, if you want blue in your tourmaline, it'll be at the expense of open color, which is to say: blue tourmaline is usually black on the C axis. Well, this particular stone must just be special! because it has the same color on all axes - open, rich tealy blue-green. I'd say 65% blue and 35% green. Ideal.
It's juuuuust a little flat, but you should still be able to use most of the gem and get a pretty good yield. there is a 'keel' on what will likely end up to be the pavillion. I estimate a gem of about 0.5 to 0.8 ct. range, with great brilliance, and the open color. It should really sing, once cut. I've faceted 3 of these previously, and they are all a dream.
