Comments:
I could call this gem's color padparadschha, but I generally leave that to the customer to decide what they think. It fits my own definition, but I'll just call it peachy pink.
The gem looks really bright and showy in a majority of lighting situations. It even looks pretty great in low light, with the color only looking stronger, and more saturated as the amount of light dwindles.
Great size for a ring - even would stand on it's own as a solitaire. There are a LOT of colors of sapphire from the Umba Valley - even quite a few in the pink to peach range - but this one has a nearly indescribable pink, that edges up on metallic / coppery. Plus it's so clean for such a color from Umba - an area which is known for beautiful colors, but lots of inclusions. Though this gem does have inclusions, they are dispersed, and even, which makes the gem look somewhat textural, instead of flawed. In short, the inclusions add to the general uniqueness of this stone, and don't get in the way at all, of its performance.
