There is SO much subtle variation in color within the spectrum of kornerupine that it can be near impossible to find the right material to cut a matched pair.
But this is THE best matched pair I have seen in recent memory. They are custom cut (though not by me) and their color and patterns are a dead match. They will make a fantastic pair of earrings. They have a great 'antique' style, and they just sing.
No more kornerupine is being mined, and new material seldom makes it out of collections into the market. Something like this pair is irreplaceable.
