Here is a very unique spinel from a historical, and renowned locality:  Zo Valley.  Zo Valley is one of the world's first sources of Spinel, and it has been traded as far back as Lapis, and would have found its way to both Egypt and Roman empires.

This one is faceted into a bubble cut tablet type design.  It was custom designed and faceted by Scott Maier to be something other than the usual.

I can see it as a bail stone, or even as the main stone in a custom ring.  There's lots to do with this rare, royal beauty.
