This striking green gem is what I would call the perfect color. It's not so light as to be called a 'mint' garnet, and not so dark as to be black. It's the Goldilocks zone!
I faceted this pear shape in an original, custom design, and I have to say, it looks great!
There are a few hollow-tube type inclusions that exist here or there, but they sit in the backseat compared to the pattern of brilliance this gem projects.
It's fairly large, at 1.25 ct., but in addition, it faces up as a slightly larger stone (surface area showing to the eye when face up) so it will look more like a 1.5 ct. stone when set into jewelry for wear.
