Comments:

These two gems were cut from the same crystal!  They show as slightly different shades in real life because a faceted gem preserves the saturation much better.  

This is a high quality set ~ The emerald-cut gem was faceted by Scott Maier, while the cabochon was cut overseas.

The faceted gem has an awesome streak of deep blurple color, and the cabochon shows two awesome colors (a pink ruby axis, and an orangey pink ruby axis).

The faceted gem is VVS, and the cabochon is VS.  Both of them are insanely clean for a ruby.
