What a fantastic distribution of color!! The body color of this gem is almost entirely yellow, but there is a splotch, or two, of blue in JUST the right places, and you get that blue color projected all around the gem. In this rare case, the blue and yellow are not really mixing, so much as they are creating zones of influence.
This separation provides ample visual entertainment, as when you combine the color phenomenon with the pattern, it makes it all look like an elaborate color of plaid.
This gem would make an amazing anything-you-put-it-in, but I think it would be an absolute rock star in a small, prong-set stacker ring. it would do the work of a much larger gem between its brightness and color.
