Comments:

This particular chrome kornerupine was a labor of love:  I recut the pavilion maybe three or four times, attempting to fit the largest whole gem I possibly could in the space that the rough allowed.  It took some extra time, but was worth it:  I put my own carefully tested design on it, and it came out eye clean.  The purple axis is also directly on the table direction, so you get a GREAT split and mix of all of the colors that chrome kornerupine can provide.

It's on the small side, but the design actually faces up quite large, as some marquis shapes do.  It would do just fine as a solitaire pendant, or a solitaire ring.  I really like the idea of setting it in an east-west orientation, as side to side movement shows a fantastic range of brilliance, with a great shifting of the colors throughout.
