Comments:
I spent extra time on this one, making sure every detail was just how I wanted it. I carefully drilled through this 100% gem aqua years ago, and finally decided to do it justice, and make it into what it was supposed to be!
It was always designed to be set with another gem through the middle, but I never had a vision of the final piece until now!
This winter's early and unrelenting force must have inspired me to work with a little ice from the comfort of my own desk...
The aquamarine is beautifully etched all over, including very aesthetic terminations. The alexandrite is a nice light green, with mild silk, and a decent color change to a light purple in incandescent lighting. That's right, this pendant goes from icy with a minty green accent, to icy with a soft lavender accent.
The metalwork is clean, and smooth, with oversized prongs left slightly prominent, for protection and aesthetics. Made by Scott Maier in northern Vermont
