This custom cut morganite was done in a design by Arya akhavan and faceted by Scott Maier. It's called 'Leaf in the wind,' but in this case, I think it's ok to call it 'petal in the wind.' The stone comes from Nigeria, and is a lovely medium pink color. It can be REALLY hard to find saturated morganite, but this one creeps up on 'medium' strength pink.
The two Thai rubies help to fill the piece in with a range of pink to reddish pink.
The sterling silver pendant was fabricated by Scott Maier in Vermont. The gem starts out with a good amount of dynamic flow, and the setting only adds to that, with a bit of an intentionally over-articulated swoop around the curves.
The pendant is fabricated with sturdy prongs, and should last a very long time, even as a daily wear pendant.
