Comments:
My wife Erica originally carved this pendant shape from wax towards the very beginning of my career. We mad a mold of it, and it stayed unused for years. Well I finally dusted it off, and re-cast a fresh one, so that I could have fun flush-setting on it. With such a wavy, mirrored finish, the colorful studs --the rubies -- help make this a really fun one-of-a-kind piece.
It is a large piece, and cast solid. It has a thick gauge wire on the back, at the top as a bail, and I personally see this one on a long, medium-heavy chain, free to swing back and forth. Both the rubies and the totally mirrored finish create a lot of reflection and movement, and I like to see it able to swing.
This pendant picks up a lot of the world around it, and acts like a fun-house mirror - bending and stretching reflections of the things around it
