Comments:
My usual kornerupine is from Tanzania, but your eyes do not deceive you!! this is MADACASCAN kornerupine, which is also known for impressive dichroism, but in vastly different colors!
This material presents with a range of yellows and greens, which are lovely together if you ask me. They remind me of an African savannah color palette. Dry grass and leafy green tones are everywhere.
The cut-corner square shape does a great job of presenting the different color axes of the gem in a myriad of different combinations. Contrast and brightness are in good balance here, and there is virtually no windowing or blackout spots.
