Comments:
This is a relatively unusual color for kornerupine. It's a very light pastel version of the teal / purple combo you may be somewhat more used to seeing on my website. I had a cut-corner triangle that sold this past year that was also more of a light, airy color, and I think it was probably my favorite one I've worked with.
Kornerupine is exceptionally rare, and truthfully speaking, it isn't really available anymore, except randomly. It was and is very popular with collectors, especially in Japan, and Asia.
This gem has great facetinig, good color, and the clarity is also good. It has a few inclusions, but in general they are small, evenly distributed, and more or less go unnoticed in hand.
Subtle light purple tones poke in and out of the body color of the gem, which is a chrome-influenced light teal.
This one would look great in a ring.
I'm going to offer this one at a discounted price from my other chrome-bearing kornerupine because the color is light. If you're looking for an under-market-price chrome kornerupine, this may be your ticket --
