Comments:
This gem is from a very cool piece of rough I acquired recently. It was a hefty, glowing piece of VERY good cat's eye cabochon rough. So good, in fact, that I thought I had better make it a gemstone, given its impressive size. It's not a clean gemstone, but I regret nothing!!
The gem performs actually decently in-hand. The silk and inclusions make it difficult to see an entire pattern through the whole gem, but plenty of life pops out of this piece.
It's very clearly dichroic, and pretty well saturated, so that helps it stand out as a large, showy piece.
It's priced according to it's level of inclusions, so even at it's very large size for this gem type, AND my own custom cutting, it's affordable
