HUGE and fantastic. This is much larger than anything I usually sell, but I just couldn't help it with this one! It's so interesting from every angle. It really does inmpress in person.
There are dozens and dozens of vanadium beryl crystals all over both sides, and some of the edges. Mostly these are crystal sections, having been etched into what I'll call pseudo terminations - there are also 5 or 6 crystals that have a full, un-etched, natural termination, but they are primarily small or medium sized.
In some of the recessed areas, there are some insanely delicate and thin beryl crystals! The surface of this piece has surprises everywhere. The crystal form is also very interesting: most of these crystals are beryl overgrowth on beryl crystals, meaning they are concentric beryls, sitting within one another! This is an unusual trick, seen in few other deposits.
This specimen will show red stripes under sw UV light.
