Comments:
This is a fun cabochon that I have had for quite some time, thinking I would use it, but alas, not getting to it. It's time to offer it to the world, in case another jeweler has a burst of inspiration upon seeing it, as I did.
This cab is a cool shape, with a visually interesting 'ragged' bottom edge, while still containing absolutely gemmy, and cleanly terminated epidote crystals further up towards the point. The epidote is laid out in aesthetic patterns and places, and the whole thing is really balanced, and artistic.
The back / bottom of the gem is tapered at about 45 degrees to sit in a setting. The center of the back is the same general shape as the top, but much smaller in size, due to the tapered back edges.
