Kornerupine, and especially chrome kornerupine, is one of the rarest gem minerals out there. It's a glorious hidden gem, literally. It's so rare, that it's not being found anywhere in the world, in these colors right now. In fact, this amazing color of this material has only been found 3 times before, with the most recent being in 2019. It was all mined out by 2021, and nearly off the market by 2023. Very good quality examples are only available from a small handful of dealers now.
This custom kite shape is clean as a whistle! It's teal-colored facing up, but at a low angle, and when viewed side-on, you can see the purple axis distinctly.
The pleasing teal color is a direct result of green and purple mixing.
