Entirely, elusively, increasingly:  RARE!  This is one of only two or three deposits of blue garnets.  The color change is stark, and the clarity is really good.  This piece will stand out nicely in a ring.  Great shape, and polish, and medium strength color change, from blue-green to purplish pink.

Since it has the same color change as alexandrite, I would personally be on the hunt for some melee alexandrite gems to go with this, to make a really fancy all color change stacker ring.
