Comments:

Color change blue garnet is a holy grail for gem people.  A TRUE blue garnet is a deep and rich blue raspberry color.  These generally either come from Madagascar, or Kenya - This one happens to be from Taita-Taveta, Kenya - the same region that tsavorites come from.

This wide diamond shape is a neat accent gem that would be amazing in a bail.  It's got a great blue-jean to blue raspberry color, and under incandescent light, it turns a vivid magenta color.

A true color change is very rare.  Color SHIFTING garnets are more common, though even they are also rare.

Blue to magenta is in my opinion an even cooler color change than alexandrite.

Priced well under market for this material!
