Comments:
As far as thumbnail mineral specimens go, the aesthetics don't get much better than this!! We have an etched vanadium beryl (emerald) crystal perched 'just-so' on a double-terminated quartz crystal.
I believe both crystals are double terminated, though the beryl has it's most accessible termination etched pretty well. The other end of it is partially lodged within the quartz, but visibly terminated.
This material from the late 2025 find, is hitting the market, and making a big splash! Lots of interesting material came out. The individual crystals are the most popular of course, but I personally love these gorgeous combination thumbnails.
To my mind, this was one of the top 5 pieces I was able to acquire ~ (a small but respectable group of about 65 specimens). I have seen a lot of individual beryl crystals around, but not too many of these quartz and beryl pieces.
