Simply put: An amazing thumbnail specimen. They almost don't get better than this for aesthetics. The specimen consists of one tapered quartz crystal, with a splash of druzy quartz crystals up and along two sides. There is also a beautiful, perfect striped emerald crystal with a glassy termination.
The balance and art in this piece is everything you could hope for. The emerald itself shows 6 to 10 distinct green bands of color. It's transparency is good enough even for faceting a perfect gem from, but ultimately, I decided to sell this one as a specimen because I personally think it would be unfortunate to break up this love story!
It might be one of the best thumbnail minerals I have, either in stock, OR in my private collection.
