Comments:
This zircon crystal is incredibly interesting, specifically for it's crystallization. Sure, it's very gemmy, and is a neat rosy-orange mauve color, but it's crystallization is its most impressive feature.
The natural facets that make up the termination are large, long, and steep. Honestly it looks like a flat, faceted carpenter's pencil. There are almost a dozen individual facets of all sizes, but the long ones catch a lot of light, and really bring your eye to the overall complexity.
Good job nature!!
In my opinion, this gem is ideal for setting into a simple cap pendant. It would do its most catching of eyes there, I think. It's also great for a thumbnail collection, though, so I figured I would post it for sale for a while, before I find some time and turn it into the pendant I see in my head.
