Comments:

I found a great deal on a parcel of impressive garnet clusters, so I JUMPED on it!!  I know I have a few specimen collectors out there, and these were too cool.

This particular one is a busy aggregate of dozens of green, gemmy demantoid garnets all on top of each other.  There is no damage anywhere.  Even on the bottom of the plate, you can see the garnets at the edge are crystallized onto the back.  There is a bit of matrix on the back, which to me, looks like amorphous micro crystalline garnet itself.
