This gloriously bright hessonite garnet hails from the famous Jeffrey Mine. Specimens from this locality are highly sought after, and gemstones are considered exceedingly rare.
At 1.69 ct; I would call this custom gemstone medium large for the deposit.
The clarity is SI, with no harsh dislocations. There is a bit of sugar, and a couple of subtle rehealing dislocations that look a bit more like silk, and don't catch the light with the stone facing up.
