Comments:

This sapphire is one of the most vivid and extraordinary NATURAL sapphires I have ever seen.  It hails from the Umba Valley alluvial deposits, famous for candy colored gems of all types.

This gem is a fantastic deep padparadscha color, and could very easily be called apricot as well.  In low light, with an incandescent light source, it edges up on fiery, vivid, intense orangey RED.  It will also glow a vivid fluorescent red color under UV light, rounding out an absolute arsenal of optical properties.

(If you look at the photo that shows direct sunlight, you can see the sun's UV light causing vivid red undertones, compared to the 3 pictures taken under overcast skies).

It's one of the most noticeable sapphires I've ever had the pleasure of offering.

Cut in a standard cut-corner emerald shape, it will be easily settable, and sellable.  It's an instant favorite.

It's not the largest gem out there, but would still make an excellent solitaire, whether pendant or ring.  With the right additional gems, it could certainly play a big part in an in-depth custom piece, as well.
