My favorite color combination strikes again!!
Yellow and seafoam green is basically an unheard of combination. Even at the mine where these do occasionally come from, they are a rarity.
But every once in a while, this cheery, open color combo pops up, and I do my best to acquire them when I do see one. Maybe once a year, I'm lucky enough to spy one.
This is my largest one to date!
The crystal is undamaged, but the complex crystallization and stark color change have resulted in stable internal flaws throughout. That makes it a specimen for a collection, as opposed to facet rough of any kind. But it's still very gemmy, bright, and the three colors will really keep you staring.
Thats right, this yellow and blue devil has a tremendously gemmy, bright dollop of hot pink in the base. You can see it in some of the pictures, but it is much more noticeable in-person.
The termination is complete all around, as is the rest of the crystal. On one side there are two 'side-car' crystals partially diverging from the main crystal body. Aesthetically, they add a lot. The whole crystal is covered in parallel striations, and castle-like micro-terminations. Lots to look at!!
