Comments:
ANY kornerupine rough is hard to find now. And it's all quite expensive. The 2019 find is mined out and sold off quite a whie ago now, and the only material in any form being sold is previously purchased stock.
I have sorted through many parcels to pick out the clean pieces over the years. Most of it, I am keeping to cut in-house, but here and there, I make a little bit available, because as nice as it is to have a small stash tucked away, it's also nice to share the fun, rare gems for others to enjoy sometimes too.
These are all pretty clean or very clean. There may be a dash of silk here or there, or an inclusion that manages to remain in a finished gem, but by and large, these will cut out very nice and clean. They are melee sized, so they range anywhere from .38 ct to 1.7 ct or so right now. Figure about 25% yield on overseas cutting, and you'll end up with finished gems in the range of 0.1 ct. to 0.5 ct.
Nice range of colors!!
